[Bug 276748] Re: gmfsk crashed with SIGSEGV in pthread_join() while trying to exit

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. I'd like to help see that it gets resolved.

I am unable to reproduce the crash you report, using gmfsk with fldigi and an FT-847, on Ubuntu 9.10 ("Karmic"). You reported this bug against a much older Ubuntu release, so it may be that the bug has already been fixed. Would it be possible for you to repeat your testing using Ubuntu 9.10 (or the upcoming Ubuntu 10.10 "Lucid" alpha), and let us know whether the problem still occurs for you? If it does, please answer these questions:
1. Is this consistently reproducible?
2. If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug? Be as detailed as possible.

Thanks again for reporting the problem.

Status in “gmfsk” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
Binary package hint: gmfsk

As mentioned, gmfsk hung while trying to exit.

Currently not configured right - hamlib for some reason doesn't like talking to my TS-2000 over a USB serial port (/dev/ttyUSB1) and then the sound was configured for /dev/dsp (which is busy since I'm using alsa with pulse audio and so it is always busy). I suspect both of these partial configurations issues caused problems (I had pressed iniitalize in the configure window).

It did not crash when simply started (to look at the help->about information) and then immediattely exit.
