Title:
soundmodemconfig fails when loading /etc/ax25/soundmodem.conf
Status in “soundmodem” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Status in “soundmodem” package in Debian:
Unknown
Bug description:
Binary package hint: soundmodem
'soundmodemconfig' is a tool provided in the 'soundmodem' package used
to set up the soundmodem daemon.
When you first use the program, the file /etc/ax25/soundmodem.conf
doesn't exist, so the program outputs errors like:
I/O warning : failed to load external entity "/etc/ax25/soundmodem.conf"
I/O error : No such fiile or directory
Soundmodemconfig does not create that file, so you have to do it by
hand (mkdir /etc/ax25 ; touch /etc/ax25/soundmodem.conf ). Otherwise
you won't be able to store the config.
This may be an upstream bug...
