I have subscibed you here, because you are listed at

as the original maintainers.

The patch is laying arround here since years and it would be greate not
to waste it(if incorparation is still possible).

Bug description:
  Hello, there!

  The xnec2c is trying to provide its own start menu entry by poviding the file /usr/share/menu/xnec2c.
  Unfortunately this approach seems to file. Please provide a .desktop file in /usr/share/applications instead.
