[Bug 496347] Re: xlog: qrz.com lookup fails - incorrect URL

This bug was fixed quite a while ago. Version 2.0.5 definitely has the
fix, and perhaps earlier versions. The user also has the capability to
configure this URL via the Settings->Preferences->Info->Lookup menu
option. I checked version 2.0.6beta1, and the default in the code is
correct. I propose that this bug be closed with a request to users
having this problem to upgrade to at least version 2.0.5.

** Changed in: xlog (Ubuntu)

Title:
xlog: qrz.com lookup fails - incorrect URL

Status in “xlog” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: xlog

Xlog Han Radio logging program - error
I installed Xlog with Ubuntu 9.08 early in 2009.
When I upgraded to 9.10 (Karma) in November 2009 I discovered that Xlog had been changed (now version 2.0.2) to include a ? button after the Call Sign entry window to allow calling up qrz.com. This is a handy addition.
The address called up by my version of Xlog is: http://qrz.com/(callsign). A few years ago qrz.com found this lacking and changed it to: http://qrz.com/db/(callsign).
Presently I add the 'db' and it works perfectly as intended. It would be nice if this change was part of Xlog.
  Notes from the terminal commands:
  geoffrey@geoffrey-desktop:~$ uname -a
  Linux geoffrey-desktop 2.6.31-16-generic #53-Ubuntu SMP Tue Dec 8 04:01:29 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux
  geoffrey@geoffrey-desktop:~$ dpkg -l | grep xlog
ii xlog 2.0.2-1 GTK+ Logging program for Hamradio Operators
ii xlog-data 2.0.2-1 data for xlog, a GTK+ Logging program for Hamradio Operators
