Status in “xsmc-calc” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  This package is obsolete and unsupported upstream. The upstream author
  has replaced it with gsmc.

  We have removed the package from Debiam. Please remove it from Ubuntu
  also.
