Ubuntu 現在提供發行版發布後的語言包更新機制，包括 Natty、Maverick、Lucid。

為什麼會有語言包更新？在尚未有該機制之前，翻譯過程中難免會有錯漏，如果說到了正式發布後才發現重大錯誤已無法彌補，因為語言包的翻譯是不能動不動就更新的
(語言包外的軟體除外)。

現在提供語言包更新機制，讓各個語言團隊決定是否要發布更新版的語言包。

那麼該怎麼作才會有語言包更新呢？

1. 通知翻譯團隊 - 請確定翻譯團隊知道有人想請求翻譯包更新
2. 檢查翻譯包 - 透過語言包的 PPA 安裝新版語言包。
3. 回報請求 - 回報請求語言包更新的 bug。你可以利用後面的範本
4. 測試語言包 - 在新語言包上傳至「$RELEASE-proposed (非正式版更新)」後，遵照使用程序測試看看，並且將發現的問題透過
bug 回報。
5. 關閉請求 - 在語言包上傳至「$RELEASE-updates (推薦更新)」後，請將 bug 標記為「Fix Released」。
