I know in the past it was a separate chapter, as I was the author of it
(or at least I thought I was :D). There's an Advanced Topics chapter
right before Troubleshooting. It consists of the terminal, user and
group management, file hierarchy and encryption.
I have just looked at advanced-topics.tex. I see:
\label {ch:advanced-topics}
\section{Ubuntu for advanced users}
The first line should be: \chapter{Advanced topics}
like here:
\chapter{Learning More}
\label{ch:learning-more}
This is the reason why it is not a chapter anymore.

It might have just gotten misplaced (as far as the Chapter heading
goes). But, if there are any sections that you feel need to be added to
it, I'll gladly take them on as well. I plan on doing that chapter again
this time around (and maybe taking on some other sections as needed).
Have a great weekend.:)

I am currently reorganizing the Quantal authors/editors spreadsheet.
What strikes me is that Advanced Topics is not a separate chapter. I had
a look at the pdf file and I think Advanced Topics is part of Software
Management, starting from section "Ubuntu for advanced users" till
"encryption".
Should this not be a separate chapter?
