Message #03916
update on "What's new in Raring"
*there are also two new default indicators
<https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/raring/+source/unity/6.12.0daily13.02.04.1-0ubuntu1>
in Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail: *
*
you're probably familiar with the first one: Sync Menu, an indicator
which right now only supports Ubuntu One but later it might support
other services such as Dropbox. The indicator has been available
starting with Ubuntu 12.10, but it wasn't added by default until
now. For now, it can be used to enable/disable Ubuntu One sync,
display current and recent transfers or share files, but more
features should be available in the future, according to THIS
<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SyncMenu> Ubuntu wiki page;
*
the second new default indicator is a Bluetooth Indicator
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-bluetooth/+bug/1111314>,
which should replace the old Bluetooth Indicator that is provided by
a distro patch over the fallback icon of gnome-bluetooth (the old
Bluetooth Applet fallback icon will be dropped along with the whole
fallback mode with GNOME 3.8
<http://www.webupd8.org/2012/11/fallback-mode-classic-session-to-be.html>).
For now there are two bluetooth icons displayed on the top panel,
but the Bluetooth Applet will probably be built without AppIndicator
support soon to fix this.
