Updating to the new lightdm package 1.10.1-0ubuntu1+multiseat7 in
Ubuntu 14.04 + multiseat PPA, seat0 (i915) now consistently fails to
start with:
[   552.345] (==) Depth 24 pixmap format is 32 bpp
[   552.345] Unable to set master
[   552.345] (EE)
Fatal server error:
[   552.345] (EE) AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for gpu driver 0 -1

seat1, which is a USB2 DisplayPort device, is fine.

Has anyone else seen this issue?

I added /usr/share/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/90-local.conf with:
[LightDM]
logind-load-seats=true
logind-check-graphical=true

but this didn't help.
