Greetings from extreme northeastern Ohio.

In relation to the tempest in a teacup that came up this morning on
Identi.ca about GIMP, I've written the following blog post that also

I wish I could be down in Texas for the event.  Alas, I'm stuck here
with the rain and cold that comes from being so close to Lake Erie's
south shore at this time of the year.  Relative to the advocacy line of
things, I do have a great practice opportunity if somebody wanted to
talk about the Ubuntu ecosphere and what the NGO Team does to those
outside the project.  I'm nervous about taking driving responsibility
for anything but can at least help advance this along.

I produce a podcast for LISNews.org that is heard by librarians in a
wide variety of settings (academic, public, corporate, etc.).  If
anybody wants to attempt a 5-6 minute telephone/Skype/whatever interview
please drop my producer, Gloria, a line at mrsnicelunchlady@xxxxxxxxx to
set up a time.  Presently she is out at a primary school working as a
supply teacher today so any reply will be delayed until later in the
day.  The podcast posts on or near 0500 UTC Mondays so if you're
interested you can negotiate a time with Gloria before then to record.
