[Bug 975030] Re: Guide is gcc (C, C++) centric, need JAVA application to DEB instructions

 

I think we should be careful about making that article too complex. We
can't handle every case there, but we could provide supplemental
articles dealing with other build systems.

The Debian wiki has a good resource for Java packaging:

  is very gcc centric. debhelper will work great for programs with a configure, make, make install structure.
  Java on the other hand uses a completely different structure. 

  There needs to be some instructions on how to package a Java application into a .deb
  with javahelper
