thats a funny coincidence ...

if you do apt-get source livecd-rootfs (or equivalently bzr branch
lp:livecd-rootfs) you will find such a script in the source code (it is
the cross building script we currently work on to do the cross builds on
the cdimage server (also only an initial version and adjusted to work
inside the canonical datacenter)) ... it might make sense to use this as
a base for a public script as well ...
