Re: What's up with raring?

One needs to always have the hardware support somehow. If there is no
other support for a specific tablet, the Android Linux kernel + driver
layer is the way to have the hardware support. Currently that's done. So
all devices that have hardware support that can be used by Ubuntu can
start migrating from quantal to raring if they so wish.

It'd be useful to start looking at a proof of concept on hardware like
WeTab that has non-Android drivers. To see what changes are needed for
the same build system to build Ubuntu Touch images for both Android
supported hw and Linux upstream supported hw. For Qt it'd mean using XCB
QPA if there's X.org support, or the EGL QPA if there's only framebuffer
+ EGL support.
