hmm,, am i the only one who finds the behavior of the gallery logical
and natural here ?
swiping from the center of the screen to the left -> back
swiping from the center to the right -> forward
swiping from right edge to the left -> switch apps
swiping from the left edge to the right -> go home
i don't see why we need to have complicated rectangular gestures nor do i
see the need for a button ... just have an overlay with two arrows
(left/right) that shows up for half a second if the user touches the
vertical middle third of the screen (with an option to disable this
for experienced users)
ciao
oli
PS: i see that we might want to keep a button for users that don't get
along with gestures at all though, but if we make the gesture easily
discoverable and kind of natural and logical that button should be
possible to be omitted after all.
