Lockscreen & tethering

I'm sure this is a known bug, however I haven't been able to find where it is yet. On waking up the phone, the time is always wrong on the lockscreen - somewhere between 10 minutes to 30 minutes out, until I change to a different screen, and the correct time updates itself. Am I right in assuming that this is a bug relating to everything suspending when the phone goes to sleep, rather than some processes remaining active?

Also, often the 'active apps' thumbnails are black in the 'Running Apps' section, until I switch to one and then back again. Is this part of the same bug? If they haven't been reported somewhere I'll create a bug report, however I'm guessing they are part of other issues.

Lastly, I'm keen to get tethering happening - this and an ebook reader app are the 2 biggest things I miss about android. Are there plans in the works for hotspot tethering to be implemented any time soon? If so, I'd love to join a team working on this. If not, I'm up for starting work on it, though would appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction.

Cheers,

Mitchell
