It'an issue of The SupeeAMOLED HD display I think, it's not a fault of
Ubuntu Touch or android.
Your only possibility is to take your device to Samsung service.
Mine too had this issue, they repaired it without any charge but your
warranty must be valid.
Unlocked bootloader, custom ROM or root does not invalidate warranty on
nexus devices. Good luck.
