Re: Running qmlscene from the terminal

 

Sorry for being curious, but again: where is the significant difference?

I'm using su - right now, and it works. I can also use upstart, and it
also works.

Here is the difference between the two environments:

root@ubuntu-phablet:/# su - phablet
phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ env | sort > env1.txt
phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ logout
root@ubuntu-phablet:/# sudo -i -u phablet -H
phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ env | sort > env2.txt
