Re: Why isn't Ubuntu-Phone using Firefox Mobile?

Well, I doubt if any other platform that Mozilla made Firefox for had to ask them before they did it.

There is nothing stopping any third party from making any app for Touch, I guess it depends on whether they think it viable as a worthwhile project.

By the way Mozilla also has Firefox OS on the mobile front as a competitor to Touch. They would have to also decide if its a risk worth taking......

Firefox is still default on the desktop Ubuntu so I guess a Touch port would be welcome on mobile as well.

Its all a question of opportunity costs of such a project for any party

Hi,

Maybe instead of porting themselves, Canonical could ask Mozilla. Then
there will be a chance to get help from Firefox community (me being part of
it).

I really like Ubuntu phone and waiting for the moment when I could make it
my primary phone os.

Thanks.
