Message #04751
Nice build the latest! But still can't get Wi-Fi
This is the system info:
$ cat /system/build.prop
# begin build properties
# autogenerated by buildinfo.sh
ro.build.id=JDQ39E
ro.build.display.id=cm_mako-userdebug 4.2.2 JDQ39E 20131006-1510-0ubuntu6
test-keys
ro.build.version.incremental=20131006-1510-0ubuntu6
Device is Nexus 4.
All this worked without any special settings:
- Phone
- 3g connection internet (I have O2 Germany)
- Importing contacts from google mail as described in
http://sergiusens.github.io/posts/google-contacts-on-ubuntu-touch.html
Not yet:
- SMS ( I normally receive an SMS after enabling internet since I got
pre-paid )
- Wi-FI
I get the Wlan password promt, I type it, all ok. But after some seconds
it just disconnects.
Some first feelings/ annoyances:
- Internet works fast and I can browse internet
- There is a problem with Google-Maps. It renders but it's slow and
quircky. I cannot use for example www.drive-now.com to see where my next
drive is. The map hangs the system completely.
- Keyboard still needs some urgent Usability adjusting.
- Tapping on screen while navigating still does not feel normal
I will leave it installed this week and see how far can I go with it.
Still green, but great attempt so far, I hope that I can contribute with
the testing once I get accustomed to it.
