yes, try to use the following command while connected via USB:
adb shell system-image-cli -c trusty -b 4 -v

that will switch you to trusty and install build #4 (all further trusty updates can happen through the GUI now, you will only need ot switch the channel again once going from T to U later)

the bugs dmitrijs refers to only happen using phablet-flash, the above method should not be affected by them.
