no, please don't, we do not have any system-image support for ports.
despite us not testing this setup anymore, these are still the base
images they need to use.
along with that the cdimage directory provides a tarball with only the
rootfs for people wanting to work on the platform core in a chroot
etc ...
we should definitely change the description text on the cdimage download
page that these are images for developers only and also explain their
(non existing) support status but lets please keep them around until
ports have the ability to provide their own system-image server and
image signing.
