Re: Landing team 10.12.13

Hi Team.

Thanks for pushing out an update. I watch the threads and I am sure this is a ton of work. I am just a fan that got a N4 specifically for UT. I am hoping to use it as a daily driver at some point.

I just booted up the latest build on a N4. There is no wifi option. I have not put in a SIM card. This was an issue with the last release as well. Under wifi in settings, there is only "auto join previous network". Since this is a fresh install, there is no previous network to join. Is there a date for this fix?

Also, is there a date for Bluetooth? Formerly, "Connect a headset" would at least look for a device. it wouldnt find anything, but it would try to look (or so it appeared).

These two things are essentials if I am to dogfood this for any length of time. Eventually, I would need WPA Enterprise so I can connect at work, also Exchange + Calendar. I don't know if these are on the roadmap at all, but it would be a barrier to use for many people as UT prepares itself for primetime.

Seriously, congrats to all the hard work. This is a great OS and I will gladly use it daily when it has a few more bells and whistles. I love how intuitive it is. It is truly something different and is very enjoyable.

Chris

As far as I can see, the osk can't be closed by autopilot. Martin implemented a workaround while writing the tests (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ui-toolkit/+bug/1239753), but

it's not working anymore (my guess is that the keyboard size depends on the platform). The keyboard emulator doesn't seem to be working either.
