You need to update the android-ramdisk (or reflash the ubuntu zip file
after flashing the right system.img one):
rsalveti@evasys:/$ adb shell
ubuntu-phablet:/# cp /system/boot/android-ramdisk.img /boot/android-ramdisk.img
root@ubuntu-phablet:/#
rsalveti@evasys:/$ adb reboot
