This is not necessarily easy to revert, as they are also consumed by
the build process (besides depending on a few packages from the
archive).
We should give it at least today and tomorrow, and then device if we
indeed want to suffer all the pain to revert it and try to get this
merged at some other point. Main problem is that it's really hard to
make sure everything is properly tested and so on because it affects
the entire image. Ideally we'd have a way to push customized images in
the dashboard and get the proper results for it (so we can easily
compare), but that's not the case at this point.
