I think the answer lies in this file called /cache/recovery/ubuntu_command

Unfortunately, it gets deleted after it gets executed.
It would be necessary for you to either comment out the remove file
command within the scripts installed on your desktop or add in a few
other debug log lines just before it. Take your pick.
