Hi,

the latest image does not seem to work with the emulator
I just created a new image for the emulator and then ran it with these
commands:

sudo ubuntu-emulator create myinstance
ubuntu-emulator run myinstance

When the image is booted, I get the normal lock screen and tutorial. But
after that all the different "tabs" in the user interface are empty.
Especially the "Apps" where I'd want to run apps is interesting to me,
but it's just showing white.

Anyone else with this problem and any idea what could be done about it?
I have tried rebooting after creating the image and then even the tabs
did not have text (ie. no text like "Apps", "Music", "Scopes" etc.)

I'm seeing the exact same thing.

I created a new instance today using:

% sudu ubuntu-emulator create --channel=ubuntu-touch/utopic-proposed default-utopic

This produced a new instance built with image #u8 ( note, I saw similar results with image #u2 ).

The first time the UI came up, I also see the tutorial and lock screen. When I dismiss the lock screen, I get an empty Apps tab.

After making the image writable, I created a snapshot and then started it a second time and ended up with a blank screen this time.

The other problem I'm seeing is that the emulator device is briefly visible via 'abd devices', but shortly after the following console messages are logged, the emulator instance disappears for good:

[ 50.650000] init: cannot find '/sbin/adbd', disabling 'adbd'
[ 62.840000] systemd-logind[619]: cgmanager: cgm_list_children for controller=systemd, cgroup_path=user failed: invalid request
