Message #08009
Landing team 08.05.14
Hi everyone!
Today we had 2 images under the radar, one of which we decided to
promote! After general dogfooding and smoketesting gave us a green
light, image #17 has been officially promoted! Enjoy!
What does #17 have to offer? Most changes are not directly visible to
the user, but this release added most parts of MMS support - still
waiting for nuntium getting NEWed to the archive for the actual support
to work.
In the meantime, we landed a few projects to the archive, but most of
them are still stuck in -proposed due to temporary stopped migration.
Those should be in soon.
Let's keep on getting images green! Once we get mako in-shape again
testing-side, it will be finally time to start considering our other
official platforms: flo and manta. For now both those platforms have
issues both on smoketesting and 'generally', but we'll get to those
sooner or later.
In the meantime, mako:
* Known issues:
** New scopes performance needs to be improved (Kevin for unity8 and
Thomas for unity-scopes-shell)
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity8/+bug/1297197
-> A fix is under review:
https://code.launchpad.net/~aacid/unity8/dynamic_specialized_cards/+merge/218089
** Dialer app not letting ending a call when returning a missed one (Bill)
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dialer-app/+bug/1316662
* Issues worth tracking:
** mtp-server crash when transferring music (cyphermox)
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mtp/+bug/1317263
* Issues not impacting user experience:
** qtubuntu crash causing the dialer app to crash (only during tests) (Bill)
The idea is to first land:
https://code.launchpad.net/~gerboland/unity-mir/fix-upstart-closed-apps2
Then, landing;
https://code.launchpad.net/~boiko/dialer-app/autopilot_upstart <- this
is still under progress
** Clock flaky test (Julien, Bill)
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-clock-app/+bug/1307458
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-clock-app/+bug/1314533
Best strategy seems to autopilot to capture a screenshot on the phone
when there is an error (tracked in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/autopilot/+bug/1308762)
** File manager flaky test (Julien)
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-filemanager-app/+bug/1316677
Thanks!
Best regards,
