Summary:

Working on ux freeze goals


Telephony/Messaging:

  *

    Work in progress on dual-sim UI support in dialer and messaging-app,
    per design spec. Phase 1 to land this week with support to manually
    switch between sims for calls and messages. Phase 2 to following
    with integration with system settings supported.

  *

    dialer: new design implemented for Recent call view - supports new
    swipe left actions reveal for opening contact card and messaging actions

  *

    messaging: new search UI implemented per design in Compose screen -
    shows all results in flat list with ability to directly choose the
    appropriate number for a contact in single click

  *

    dialer/messaging: improved journey between dialer, messaging, and
    address book per design spec

  *

    fixes for phone number formatting based on locale

  *

    work in progress on vibration support for calls and messages,
    integration with system-settings in progress


Address Book:

  *

    improved navigation between address book and telephony apps

  *

    more visual tweaks per design

  *

    bug fixes on the address book service


Camera App:

  *

    Landed HDR support

  *

    WIP for geolocation tagging of photos, should land this week


Browser:

  *

    Work in progress on new design elements, great progress made: url
    bar moved to top, new history page, new tabs page. Goal is to push
    working prototype to phablet-team/ppa by end of week for first round
    of testing


OSK:

  *

    Working on usability issues

      o

        language menu to display option to launch settings

      o

        extended key menu to support swiping to activate rather than
        multiple presses

      o

        preparing for design sprint next week
