Landing team 23.07.14

Hi everyone,

Still no image promotion. We only have 2 days left before switching to
TRAINCON-0, not to mention that RTM is getting nearer every minute. Even
though the blockers are being worked on and fixed intensively every day,
we have been now troubled with migration problems of the
gcc-4.9-forced-toolchain rebuilds of our C++11-based projects (silo 8).
The transition didn't happen completely yesterday and it was actively
worked on today to get it unblocked from -proposed. Many landings got
blocked because of this, but we should be good now and the packages
should migrate soon.

If all goes well, we might get rid of most of the blockers around
tomorrow, so be prepared for some promotion candidates till the end of
the week.

The list:

* What landed in our images:

#145

#145 mako

* Some useful documentation:

* Blocking issues:

** Unity8 non-upstart tests fight for hardware with unity-system-compositor
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity8/+bug/1346819
 -> Fix waiting for the unity8 transition to finish

** indicator-location crashing during default, sdk and click_image_tests
tests on smoketesting
https://bugs.launchpad.net/indicator-location/+bug/1338610
[Time counter 12/7]
 -> Might get whitelisted soon... not a serious issue and time is
running out

** Reproducible UITK failures on smoketesting
https://bugs.launchpad.net/autopilot/+bug/1328600
 -> Work-around merged into staging - staging currently in testing

** qmlscene crashed while running test_can_launch_multiple_applications
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qtubuntu/+bug/1329141
 -> Work-around merged into staging - staging currently in testing

** test_add_new_event_with_default_values & test_fill_form fail since
mako #137
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-calendar-app/+bug/1343916
 -> Work-around prepared, +1'ed and now waiting for release

* Known issues:

** Twitter Web app doesn't store login cookie
https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity-webapps-twitter/+bug/1346960
 -> Irritating issue, but not much we can do about it, as it's twitter
that caused the change

** mtp-server crash when transferring music on #15
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mtp/+bug/1317263
 -> Very old bug but gains on importance in the upcoming days

** Ringer only ringing once after upgrade to u94
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1334248
 -> Caused by some race condition, rarely reproducible, whitelisted from
the blocker list by QA

** Wrong WWAN value in saved-states
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/urfkill/+bug/1321627
 -> Issue still not fixed.

** U-S-S sluggish after some hours, high CPU
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-system-settings/+bug/1337200
 -> This issue needs help debugging and identifying

* Issues not impacting user experience

** Network indicator crash during dialer-app and messaging-app
smoketesting (Antti)
[Time counter 30/7 - Whitelisted]
 -> The crash will never happen in a normal environment, so we decided
to whitelist the problem. But a fix is in the works nevertheless.

** unity8 crashed with SIGSEGV in
mir::frontend::ClientBufferTracker::client_has()
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity8/+bug/1339610
[Time counter 11/7 - Temporarily whitelisted]
 -> This problem has caused some rare test failures in smoketesting,
rarely reproducible it seems. Is this still valid? Might be related to
one of our blockers.

Best regards,
