I agree to some extent. iOS users are used to closing apps this way. The
only difference between the two is how you get into the mode where the user
can close the apps. I think once people are comfortable with using the long
swipe to switch apps, they may also become more comfortable with knowing
where to close the apps. It would be something interesting to get some real
world usability testing on though.
