Landing team 12.08.14
After asking our dogfooders to perform some testing new blockers have
been revealed, sadly. This basically means no promotion for now... But
so far landings continue normally. Robert just landed the Mir 0.6.0
which is now migrating to the archive. We will build image #186 as soon
as it lands completely in the release pocket.
We have also started real-system testing of landings for ubuntu-rtm.
Currently the first volunteer was Michał with his recent Unity8 landing.
So far so good. After this landing goes through successfully, we'll be
switching the spreadsheet and dashboard to support the new architecture.
But for now, let's keep our e-mail short and move on to the list:
* What landed in our images:
* Smoke-testing results:
* Some useful documentation:
(Still under development)
(See the issues dashboard for always up-to-date blocker status)
* Blocking issues:
** PIN-locked phone becomes unresponsive after simultaneous alarms
** Image 185 --wipe causes unity 8 not to show up on first boot (after
** Youtube launched with https and cannot play insecure content
* Known issues:
** mtp-server crash when transferring music on #15
-> Very old bug but gains on importance in the upcoming days
** U-S-S sluggish after some hours, high CPU
-> This issue needs help debugging and identifying
** In about Phone if you select OS hit back and select something else
that goes to a new page it crashes the app
** Scrolling is extremely laggy as of emulator image >=165
* Issues not impacting user experience:
** unity8 crashed with SIGSEGV in
[Time counter 25/7]
-> This problem has caused some rare test failures in smoketesting,
rarely reproducible it seems. Is this still valid? Might be related to
one of our blockers.
** Ubuntu Touch devices sometimes come up with hwclock set to 1970
-> Critical issue, but we're working-around it temporarily to get a
** indicator-network crashing during dialer-app and default tests on
