Florian was looking at the feasibility of doing it a long time ago,
but then qmlscene continued to work and it was wished to check out how
the upstream's new 'qml' turns out (well, just another development
tool in essence).
I do think a new wrapper would be needed, if nothing else by simply
compiling qmlscene as /usr/bin/uqmlscene from another source package.
But I'm not sure about the timing, since as illustrated by Benjamin
changing it might have surprising consequences if assumptions about
the binary name have been made.
For a quicker solution, how bad you feel the distro-patching of
qtchooser to specially handle qmlscene would be?
