That would be thumbnailer. More specifically it downloads the album art from the net using libsoup. It does not support images embedded in mp3 files but we hope to enable that within a day or two.
If you are not seeing album art then that is probably because a) lack of internet connection b) the service does not have an image for the specified album or artist.
