Hi Mitchell,
I'm not sure about if there is a certain definition, but I'm using
https for my instance. I just created a self-signed SSL certificate
and added the to my Apache virtual server. There: https. So yes :)
Exactly, and I might be mistaken, but I think that there is support to
store that in the online accounts service.
I agree. I don't know how Ubuntu handles that. Which levels of
operation that checks the certificate.
Thanks!
Cheers,
Daniel

Hi Daniel, I could be missing something, but owncloud does support
https - currently that's the authentication I'm using for my own
cloud server.
Its still password based (meaning we need to store it somewhere),
but it can be done over a secure (ish) connection. Would be great
however if we're able to have some functionality to work with
self-signed certificates - either by forcing them as default, or
having a popup to accept them if we need to.
Otherwise, great work!
Mitchell
