Hi all,

A "heads up" in case it's not on your radar yet:

Yesterday's (2014.09.11) Washington Post Express had an article on page 7
about a the local transit authority (WMATA) testing a new system of fare
payment using phone apps that interact with the train fare gates and bus
fare machines. The pilot will begin on January.
