Dekko Email Client call for testing
Hi all,
If you have a device running Ubuntu then you can really help out by
testing the latest build of dekko, details below.
Dan and Boren have been implementing some design changes, adding new
features and fixing bugs over the last few weeks and we wanted to get
some wider testing. There's some rough edges, bugs and unimplemented
features as yet, which is why we're not pushing this to the store at
the moment.
You can grab the click from the link below, and install using the
instructions beneath. If you find any bugs, please get yourself over
to http://launchpad.net/dekko and help us out by finding & filing
appropriately. Also, feel free to drop by #dekko irc channel on
freenode to chat with us all. (patches welcome :D)

Note: If you use Google for your email and use 2 factor auth, you may
need to setup an "application specific password" as we don't currently
support 2fa. Google has documentation for that here:-

----
To install one of these click packages:-
1. Attach phone running Ubuntu to a computer which has adb installed
2. Download latest click from http://people.canonical.com/~alan/dekko
to ~/Downloads
3. Open terminal
4. adb push ~/Downloads/dekko.dekkoproject_X.Y-Z_armhf.click /tmp
(note X.Y-Z will change over time)
5. adb shell
(this will give you a "phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$" prompt on the phone
in which you type the next command)
6. pkcon install-local --allow-untrusted
/tmp/dekko.dekkoproject_X.Y-Z_armhf.click
7. Close dekko (if open) on phone
8. In the dash on the phone, pull down to refresh the app scope, then
just tap the dekko icon.
To revert back to the current stable version of dekko from the store:-
1. Long press on dekko icon
2. Uninstall
3. Once uninstalled, re-install by searching for "dekko" in the store
Many thanks,
