Re: meizu mx4 rom dump

You must use MTK6595 flash tools to repartition your phone. But some data maybe lost, for example, IEMI, etc.
I have my mx4 ubuntu re-flashed to flyme. It works. So when you flash your normal mx4 to ubuntu maybe also works.
You can try.
Ciao

Flyme has partition table incompatible with Ubuntu requirements, so even if by some magic you manage to flash Ubuntu recovery to kick off Ubuntu installation, it will eventually fail with out of disk space error. u-d-f --bootstrap works on Nexus devices where it's using compatibility mode, since we have no option to repartition those phones, also idea of developer previews on Nexus phones was to give developers option to switch back to Android....

You can refer to Google Nexus devices, where you need to run oem unlock to unlock bootloader, which wipes user data. Otherwise this would open big backdoor to otherwise secured phones. (Flash custom recovery and get all users data from stolen phones....)
