ANNOUNCEMENT: Some small train changes
Hi all,
Just thought I'd let everybody know about some small new features &
bugfixes that change train behavior:
1. The "manual sources" field is now automatically filled by scanning
the PPA. So if you're working on a silo that has one or more (or
entirely) non-MP manual sources, you can just leave that field blank
and the train will Do The Right Thing and everything will Just Work.
Hopefully this saves everybody some typing!
2. Manual sources are now supported in "dual" silos. If you are
wanting to include manual sources in a dual silo, it is your
responsibility to make sure that both wily and vivid versions of the
manual package are manually uploaded into the PPA, but once that is
done the train will be able to correctly watch the build status &
publish those packages as usual.
3. New "Artifacts" listing. If you look at a request detail page (like
/#/ticket/NNN), immediately under the 'Status' field there's a new
'Artifacts' field. This field will display a single link to the most
recent jenkins job that has been run in the silo, regardless of
whether it was a build or publish job. So if you're a core dev trying
to do a packaging ACK, it should now be easier to find the most recent
job with the most current artifacts in it, without having to bumble
around looking at two different jenkins jobs.
(if the field appears blank, it's because the request is a bit older
and doesn't have any entries in the audit log yet. you can fix this by
doing a WATCH_ONLY build)
As usual, let me know if you find any problems and I'll take a look. Enjoy!
