Hello everyone,

The end-of-year holidays are getting near with everyone working as hard
as possible to get all the required changes in for OTA-9. Please
remember that basically this week is the last sane week to submit your
changes before the OTA-9 deadlines as next week many developers are
already off. Also, the feature/string freeze is planned on the 5th of
January - this does not give much time for getting your fixes prepared
after the holidays. This time we will not accept any huge last-minute
changes before the deadlines. Every big change need an appropriate
dogfooding time to make sure there are no hidden issues anywhere.
That being said, today we had some issues with builders and some parts
of our infrastructures, very unfortunate...

At this moment we would like to again re-state that the devel images
should not be used for normal phone usage. The devel channels, as the
name suggests, are development channels - those are only getting very
basic checks to make sure that the shell is starting etc. Just enough to
make sure developers of the system can log in and start doing work. All
focus is on the rc-proposed/rc/stable channels.
