Re: OTA-9 Update not applying
Hello,
In terms of writeable mode, I've not done anything with this device. I've not long received it from new from BQ.The device updated from OTA-4 (pre-installed) to 8.5 without any issues.
I'll send over these file, you might be able to make little more sense of this than I.

Did you go into writable mode at all?
I'd check if the cache partition is not full (/cache/recovery/)
Before deleting everything in there, send over your/cache/recovery/last_log_r and if that is empty send over /cache/recovery/log to see what is going on during the update.
I don't think those files store any personal information, but you may want to double check.
If everything went well with the update you will see this close to the end:
