Re: 32 bits apps on the M10 tablet

so when we get the tablet that runs firefox thats because its 64bit so this means we cant do the same on the phone? i see people doing that already ... be good if we can run the same on the phone to fill the gaps of missing applications

Hi all!
A question for those working on the just announced M10 tablet: will we
be able to run 32bit arm applications (that is, the same binaries we are
producing for the phones) on it?
As far as I understand, the CPU is capable of running both 64 and 32
bits applications, and I presume that the base OS will be running at 64
bits. But I guess that if the armhf version of the platform libs is
installed, it will be able to run unmodified armhf apps?
At the moment the Linux kernel is 64-bit to match the CPU but the userspace runtime is effectively the same 32-bit armhf
runtime we use on other Ubuntu Touch devices.

tl;dr you will be able to run the same 32bit arm applications on it.
