Re: Meizu MX4 recovery mode
Hi,
I still cannot get any "menu" or any other visible functionality in
recovery mode, but adb functionality issue was solved in an interesting
way, here's steps I went through with help of Dave and others in
#ubuntu-touch
1. flash the mentioned recovery.img with: fastboot flash recovery
recovery.img
2. initiate flashing in fastboot mode with: ubuntu-device-flash touch
--channel=ubuntu-touch/stable/meizu.en --bootstrap --recovery-image
recovery.img
Note, that --recovery-image here is most likely unneeded at this point
3. flashing hangs to the same spot as before, unplug phone before adb
attempt of the flash tool times out
4. check adb status with "adb devices" until you get status saying magic
word "recovery"
5. now I could try flashing again: ubuntu-device-flash touch
--channel=ubuntu-touch/stable/meizu.en --device arale
Aand I finally got my device flashed, no data loss that I could see.
Apparently there needs to be a good timing with adb use in recovery mode in
order to have successful connection.
Thanks to everyone who were helping. (:
