using ubuntu-location-serviced-cli from crontab

is it possible to add a crontab line to run ubuntu-location-serviced-cli with some parameters telling it to wake up the GPS chip every half an hour or so and get a fix then go back to sleep?

Is there some script that gets called when the screen is unlocked? - a bit like the lid switch scripts on a laptop in /etc/acpi (there is no /etc/acpi on the phone)

Alan.
