Re: Best means for getting photos OFF Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition?

 

Most people on this list seem to use ssh/scp.  That's what I use.  It's
not at all convenient.  But if you're using Ubuntu Touch I'd say you'll
more likely than not need ssh at some point.

Apparently there's been good progress getting synchronisation to
ownCloud working:

The problem with the MX4 USB port is that it doesn't work.  It's
"flaky".  It can maintain a data connection for tens of seconds at a
time under favourable circumstances, but even then quickly conks out and
won't talk to the host again.  Last week I went to two different Meizu
shops to ask them to reflash the phone with Flyme, watched them have
just as hard a time, and was eventually told it can't be done.  I'm
pretty shocked that a big manufacturer can screw up such a fundamental
feature, but I guess most people don't notice or care.
