Re: Ongoing bluetooth woes

I've never managed to get music steaming working via Bluetooth in my car. When the unit find the musicfiles, it plays them back without sound. odd, as plugged in to USB, the verysame music files plays perfectly. Once assumes this is Bluetooth related?

I have to add that in my case music streaming is working. It's just the calls that have problems.

My appologies, the second link should have been: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/1578178

I also experienced this since OTA 9 with my Parrot 9200 bluetooth handsfree, it would pair and connect, provide ringing alert, but no voice on both sides. Also no music streaming from the phone app.

I assumed it's a Parrot config issue because when I go to the Parrot menu under "Bluetooth Audio" and manually choose to connect with the (already paird and connected) phone, all was working well, multiple calls, music, audio and GPS sounds.
So maybe it's not presenting itself as an audio capable bluetooth device anymore in the auto-negotiation?

 I will update 1578178.

For pretty much the entire life of the BQ 4.5 when connecting to my car stereo by bluetooth I could hear the other person but they could not hear me. I recall reading somewhere that there would be a number of bluetooth fixes in OTA 11 so I was very much looking forward to it, however now I have it I can't hear anything over bluetooth. No idea if the other person can hear me.

This has always been a key feature for me, crucial. I have been putting up with it because I understand the pace of development and how far it has to go and have been using a cable instead. This is a feature which really does need to get straightened out, it is a bit embarassing to have to admit the phone I rave about doesn't do bluetooth.

How is it working for the rest of you? Does anyone have any news on how the long term goal on this is progressing?

  Cheers
  Gareth
