[Bug 1434984] Re: Can't setup a customized APN for MMS with carrier Free (France)
@alfonsosanchezbeato,
>Please try again filling "APN MMS" and "MMSC" and leave the other fields empty
Works, thank you.
Also, I think this should have the tag "need-design". I beleive most people that will not have the mms working natively, will be confused by the form. For exemple, having some '*' or other marks to mean those field are in need, not the others, or hide other field and make them visible only if button "advanced" is pressed, or use the separator like fieldset as seen on html. I don't have the solution, But what I just want you understand on this bug report is the confusion for a no-tech on this form when he is forced to edit it (I know this form is for techies, but no-tech can be lead to go in there, and be lost). Just an UX enhancement I guess.

Title:
Can't setup a customized APN for MMS with carrier Free (France)
Status in ofono package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Hi,
MMS doesn't works on mako and krillin (both RTM) with the carrier
Free (France).
I try to set up from the GUI :
* open web browser at carrier support mms APN
* open system-setting/phone/carrier/access point/APN MMS/Customized APN MMS button (I have the french language, might not be exactly this in english sorry)
* swipe back to web-browser to copy/paste information about APN MMS
* I am lost; using telegram as fallback but all my contact don't have it :/
Note: this bug is not about the native support of Free as seen on bug
#1362008 (even if I wish the fix was landed) but about settings
fields: are they "standards" ? because my carrier doesn't give me the
same fields as you can see on the attached image; should we have a
choice between diferrent form layout? I don't know.
Also please re-assign the affected package, I don't want to do mistake
