Title:
Duplicate Sprint APNs provisioned due to new bearer attribute
Status in android package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Status in ofono package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
If a US/Sprint SIM ( MCC=310, MNC=120 ) card is installed, GPRS/MMS
provisioning will produce an additional six duplicate APNs for both
Internet and MMS. This is due to the fact that a new bearer attribute
has been introduced in apns-conf.xml. "Bearer" is the term used to
denote the technology used for the data connection ( eg. GPRS, EDGE,
UMTS, ... ). Sprint is the only operator to include this attribute
in our current version of apns-conf.xml.
I'm going to add a task to the Android ( Ubuntu ) package as the
easiest fix is to reduce the duplication in the database as it appears
that all of the entries in question are the same other than the bearer
attribute.
This bug is being reported against ubuntu-rtm #9, and is device
agnostic.
