[Bug 1497367] Re: Drops carrier on screen lock on Ubuntu Touch: Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition
Hi tony
Nothing other than apps from the store or standard updates has been
installed.
I have very decent signal strength in my location.
When I lose carrier, if I check the network menu, it says "Unregistered
"for the SIM status.
if I toggle flight-mode and donot lock the screen, the phone is able to
re-register promptly and become usable again but if i toggle flight-mode
and the screen is locked it does not re-registers itself and "Unknown"
is shown for the SIM status, "None is shown for the Carrier". I believe
the problem is with the screen locking up.
The Telegram app also forcibly logs you out once the screen gets locked
and is unlocked again. It shows you as unauthorised user, all the chats
get cleared up and it restores itself to initial setup screen.
I am using a four digit PIN to lock the screen.
I hope that helps!

Title:
Drops carrier on screen lock on Ubuntu Touch: Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition
Status in ofono package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I am using Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition Phone. OS 15.04 (r4)
The carrier is lost when the screen gets locked after preset timing or
after there is no activity on the phone. I have to restart the phone
everytime to get a GSM carrier signal.
It is for every connection type 2G/3G/4G.
The carrier selection option is set to automatic and I cannot set it
to manually either.
Anyone else calling on the number gets intimation that the phone is
switched off.
The idea of having a Ubuntu phone is getting defeated here since the
phone keeps dropping GSM carrier/signal on its own.
Any help from the community is highly appreciated
Operator is Reliance, Country India
Regards
