[Bug 552129] [NEW] Firefox should use SSL enabled search bar
You have been subscribed to a public bug by Fred (eldmannen+launchpad):
Binary package hint: firefox
Ubuntu should consider downstream patching Firefox to use an SSL enabled
search bar. This would mean changing the standard entries, for which
there are SSL alternatives, such as Wikipedia, Amazon, etc.. Right now
all default query engines, and likely subsequent browsing prompted
through the query's results, are unsafe.
** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Confirmed
** Tags: bar firefox search ssl
