Message #00001
Welcome to the Team!
All,
Thank for supporting me and joining this new team for all sorts of
scientists that use Ubuntu and FOSS!
Allow me to introduce myself:
I am Svetlana Belkin (A.K.A. belkinsa everywhere in Ubuntu community and
Mechafish on the Ubuntu Forums), and I am getting my BS in biology with
molecular sciences as my focus at University of Cincinnati. I used
Ubuntu since 2009, but the only "scientific" program that I used was
Ugene. But hopefully, I will get to use more in my field.
Like I said in the forum [1] topic, I will get the IRC channel set up,
the Ubuntu wiki pages up, and a blueprint for the key items that we need
for the team to succeeded. I will try to get these done by the end of
this week and I will e-mail the mailing-list when everything is up.
With this team and the members in it, we can help each other and other
scientists in the Ubuntu and FOSS world to succeeded.
Members: Please introduce yourself. You are welcome to post your own
goals for the team also.
Thank you,
Svetlana Belkin
P.S. Does Dimitrios - Georgios Kontopoulos have an e-mail to forward
this to?
